Hose layout and selection

When choosing a hose for your Vaughan irrigator, we recommend and supply heavy duty 50 mm or 63 mm lay-flat hose. The reason for this is if you use poly pipe you must be very careful to lay it out in such a way that is does not bend. A bend will need to be cut and joined. That joint can be easily pulled apart by the irrigator. Poly pipe needs wide arcs which knock down and pull out your plants. It is also very difficult to shift. Lay-flat hose is much easier on the crop and has a much smaller angle. When towing your lay-flat, use a skid to prevent tangles, and moving your hose becomes a breeze.
